Hey everyone! Welcome to the remastered premiere of SimCity Setup #0.4. This episode… well, it started with clean neighborhood templates and ended with four founding families, pretty skies, and enough aspiration benefits to keep everyone happy. That’s Sims 2 neighborhood building for you.

🏙️ Setting up the SimCity neighborhood from scratch

💎 Distributing aspiration benefits: 2 need-based + 3 aspiration for adults, 2 need-based for kids
🔧 Using Sim Blender and FFS Lot Debugger (Batbox) for family customization
💕 Configuring ACR (Autonomous Casual Romance) mod hood-wide settings
🏠 Moving Roseland family to City Center Lofts apartment
🏠 Moving Traveller family to Boothbay Apartments
🛋️ Furnishing apartments: bathrooms, bedrooms, kitchens, living rooms, paintings, alarms
📸 Checking neighborhood photo album with lore descriptions for all families
🎨 Final neighborhood overview and family data review

🏙️ Neighborhood Foundation Setup

We kicked things off by setting the visual tone for SimCity with custom skyline and sky replacements. Then I placed the key community lots that would serve as housing for our founding families.

Skyline & Sky:
→ “Season Skyline – Green Hills” by GreatCheesecakePersona
→ “The Great Sky of Totalitarianism (Circle: AssassinsCreed)” by Lowedeus

Community Lots Placed:
→ City Center Lofts (Apartment Life)
→ SimCity Career Services (by Pleasant Sims)
→ Boothbay Apartments (Apartment Life)

👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 The Four Founding Families

This neighborhood launched with four playable families, each with their own story and setup process:

The Kim Family (Cynthia, Robert, Justin, Cheech, and Gabby) – Former TV stars navigating reality
The Kat Family (Tara, Mickey, Samantha, and Faline) – Multi-generational feline enthusiasts
The Roseland Family (Cyd and Porthos) – Revolutionary Dognatchi technique pioneers
The Traveller Family (Trent, Trisha, and Tina) – Wanderlust-driven adventurers

🔧 Mod Configuration: ACR Settings

The Autonomous Casual Romance (ACR) mod adds more autonomous romantic actions to make gameplay more interesting. Here’s what I configured hood-wide:

Global Defaults:
→ Change Default Risky: 7% (increased from 5%)
→ Timer Multiplier: 4x
→ Gender preference targets: 10% at start

Global Switches:
→ Disabled: Teen-Adult Interactions, Teen Woohoo, Autonomous Try For Baby
→ Enabled: Unmarried Try For Baby
→ Other settings remain at default values

Gender Preferences:
→ Ran Randomizer for “Only Townies/NPC” with “Low” setting

📸 Neighborhood Photo Album & Lore

Once all families were placed, I updated the neighborhood photo album with lore descriptions. Each family has their own backstory available on the site if you want to dive deeper:

SimCity Neighborhood: “SimCity is on the cusp of a new era! The Kims have brought a touch of retro-futuristic charm, the Kats are nurturing a pet paradise, the Roselands are pioneering innovative canine training, and the Travellers are turning their wanderlust into captivating stories…”
